hey im mike i spend all my time on the v8 conversion side but i think i need u guys for this problem iam havin... i have a 79 244DL that was bought here from sweden by the original owner who purchased it there while in the navy i got the car from my uncle who got it from him, they were navy mates.. well anyhow i had the vin ran at the dealer to try and get a key for it and all they could give me was a color code which didnt seem to match any american models.. and i noticed that my car has a made in bertone italy info badge on the passenger side strut tower where there would normaly be a black and white info badge that says made in sweden.. well i was wondering if there were any rare 4door bertone models that were only available in sweden or something? my body is 100% original. only thing not original in my car is the 95 LT1 and the 4L60e under my hood and the driveshaft.. the car is red (but not the brite red that the later 240s were available in) with blue leather front seats, red door panels that match the exterior and a cloth back seat i am not sure that the back seat is original but i know we had a euro mercedes that was all original but it came with leather front seats and a cloth backseat and that was normal for euro benzs back in the 70s and 80s that were imported here oppose to being built for here... does anyone know where i can find any info on my car cause VLV world is useless for my car cause its a euro model and i wasnt able to decode anything and everythign is in swedish on my car but i have a MPH speedo no o2 sensor... i dont know what info i need to include for anyone to be able to help me but hopefully what i mentioned will help
