745 Dead ECU Saga

I'm not so sure: the ECU's from the 1988-1992 period seem to be time dependent, so that after a period of 12-15 years they crap out. Rebulding them replaces the silicone-covered components that fail, hence the rebuild should last much longer. I may spring for the rebuild just so Wife will not be stuck in the middle of nowhere with another bad ECU. I can just imagine guiding her while on the cell phone in the replacement of the ECU.
