Intermittent start problems - Fuel? 700 1990

By FI relay you mean fuel pump relay I hope? If not, that's most likely the problem.

Nextly, you cannot really test a RPM (crank position) sensor. It pulses with the turn of the flywheel, and tells the the computer the engine is turning to start spark and fuel. Change it, they all have issues after the years. Of course, only new, it's cheap. but take the cautions (see FAQ).

RPM sensor fixed my problems 2 years ago 100%.
