By the '92 model year, the XJ series was pretty bullet-proof if taken care of. The old 4 litre from the AMC days was a very dependable (albeit under-powered) block. The mid and late eighties models were prone to emissions and oil useage issues with their disasterous vacuum lines and pcv set-ups. No real stand-outs as far as problems though.
Unlike the ZJs, these usually didn't have tranny, fuel and all sorts of other problems. That is IF they were taken care of!
Your's should run for a long time!
