What to replace/ check on an '81 200

I'm 4 days and plane flight away from picking up a new to me '81 244. No rust and has been garaged apart from the past two years, in a temperate environment ( no snow, but cold and wet for 4 months a year ). It's a low mileage unit but preventative maintenance has probably been haphazard.
Would like to know what sort of things to look at replacing ( that a servicing agent is unlikely to pick up ) which might have perished, disappeared, been overlooked or whatever. Prefer to be prepared for the task rather than blithely think all will be okay.
Thinking along the lines of firewall rubber grommets to prevent water ingress, other rubber bits perhaps. could almost be considered to have been stored up until the past 2 years where it has been used regularly.
Original owner too tight to purchase even the floor mats ! Fortunately last serviced in January, and have the recent history.
Yes, I'm keen to get this new car into the best possible shape for a long and reliable life in my garage. This car will have to last me a good few years, poverty will prevent its replacement :-)
Even the most basic of suggestions or list would be appreciated. All future servicing and care will be performed by me......reasonably competent at most things, most common tools to hand.
Thanks
richo
