After looking at the two cars together, there seemed to be no major difference in the design. Our 93 940 is N/A and has the side distributor. I had thought that possibly Volvo moved away from the rear mounted one by 1991. Well, my friend has got a bucket of worms with that one. I just hope he decides to unload it or I'll be stuck going through it.
