Hey, This message board thing really works. I seem to have struck a common problem here! I couldn't find a new NOS, or OEM thermostat for the older B-14/B-16 engines, so I installed a used one out of my cave of goodies. Of course, it might also be as defective(take it out and test it, dummy!) as the one I removed (actually, no; the first one was a bellows type, and had a visible hole in the bellows). So, does anyone know of a replacement type for the long reach thermostat and radiator cap (e.g. NAPA, or Robertshaw, or, or?). As is often the case, my situation could be a series of mini-problems and defects, rather than something major. Thanks for all of your input, I'll be back in "car trust" mode in no time!
I found this number in my notebook; NAPA 703-1410 which claims to be a radiator cap for a B-16 engine. Anyone used this number?
