In some instances (GM 3.8l engines) a leaking intake manifold gasket allows coolant to seep into the intake manifold and damage the engine. In any event, it enrichens the mixture and can destroy the oxygen sensor and catalytic converter in short order. Mileage is the least of your concerns.
