It all started with a 121 code.... 700

Query bircksters,

91 745 w/bosch. running 121 code. I Have now dissasembled airbox, hoses from turbo to airbox, trottle body, etc.

There's a sensor connecting to the middle of the hose that connects the airbox to the turbo. From this sensor coupling there is a hose that runs over the valve cover to another coupling between the 3rd and 4th intake runners closest to the firewall.

I removed this hose and discovered quite a bit of oil sludge/caking inside. In fact, the nipple where the vaccuum hose connects to the coupling closest to the intake manifold is completely blocked.

Obviously, I'm going to clean all these hoses thoroughly with simple green and reassemble; question being: should I replace the sensor on the coupling that is in the middle of the airbox to turbo?

Also, a good bit of oil seeping into the corner of the airbox where the flared end of the turbo-intercooler hose connects. Replaced the air filter (along with 8' of vaccuum hose, oil,...) yesterday and noticed this. Hopefully a good cleaning as re-assembly with cure that???

Anyone with this 1-2-1 code experience?

Thanks,

Mike
