How do you jump start AC compressor? 700 1991

The compressor should have a wire going directly into the clutch. Usually black. You should be able to connect this to the pos side of your battery and see the clutch engage. The car does not have to be running to do this. If you have an ohm meter the clutch activation coil should have 3-4 ohms resistance. If it reads alot your clutch is bad or the compressor grouning connection is bad. My compressor has another wire towards the back (firewall) but it is a ground connected to the bracket bolt.
