I'm all for the idea... but before you make any commitments, I'd be damn sure your rear end shop knows exactly what they are dealing with. A B16 544 has a Salisbury rear I think, and parts might not be as easy to find as they might think...


But in the end, I would think an overdrive would do more for you than taller gears in the rear. But I sure do like your idea of a high torque at low rev engine... much more usable in my opinion.
