update this is what I have found so far 700

I took the top timing cover off to see if the belt had slipped, after using the powersteering and alt belts to rotate the timing the notch on the belt lined up with the top cam shaft pully. It took awhile and a couple of scratched fingers but it looks like the timing is still on. I then took the valve cover off to see if anything looked suspisous but nothing looked off. I rotated the cam thru and watched all the valves. All were hard to rotate thru except number three cylinder, it was still hard but not as hard. So now I am at a deadend. The only other thing is the knock sensor so I guess I will head in that direction. Here comes a all nighter.
