Almost like. I think the thread profile is cut differently.

Volvo lug nugs fit the studs very snugly. No-name inexpensive ones that "fit" have a lot more slop. For the steel wheels I use, I prefer to keep a few Volvo lug nuts from the junkyard on hand, rather than buy new sloppy-cut replacements.
