I have a 1985 760GLE with a blown head gasket.
All reports I have heard on the matter tell me that fixing a blown headgasket on this car is next to impossible.
The car is in excellent condition, sedan, has a couple dents on the rear passenger door, and a crease on the passenger rear quarter, blue exterior, black leather interior, no rips/tears/wear, no cracks in the dash.
150k kilometers on it, and in gorgeous shape.
I'm looking to sell it, or buy a wrecked rear-ended turbo, or a turbo front clip and swap everything over.
I'd really like to have a 760Turbo Estate, but that doesn't look promising, any time soon.
anyway, I can take photos if anyone wants, but I was trying to get an idea of the value of this poor old girl. I want her to go to a good home, and if I sell her locally, I won't get any money for her, and she'll end up in the junkyard before she rolls over 160k km. I really get stupidly attached to my cars, and I like to see them go to someone who will appreciate them.
thanks a lot!
