Mine's seized twice now. To remove,you unscrew from the inside - you may have to ease it off. There's also a locking ring/clip on the barrel IIRC. Get a new lock barrel (if you can in the US). As for the mechanism - you really need to look at another one, say in the boneyard? Regards.
