Well, they didn't avoid Lucas in the 1800s, but at least the starter and ignition is still Bosch.

Nothing wrong with the standard starters, but later geared ones from a 240 (etc.) fit with very minor modifications. Then again, they also cost several times as much... just thought I'd mention it.
