Check the pre-heat valve in the airbox, it may be stuck in the heated air position, which would be bad for your mixture and could cause the AMM to fail over time.

Another place to check is the air intake hose between the AMM and Throttle Body, make sure you have a good seal on both ends and that there are no holes in the hose.
