Ol' dependable finally choked..... 700 1985

I would fix it being that its a "simple" repair really. I remember at least my diesel has a spring clip that holds the fork in place but still allows it to wobble slightly depending on how much force I use. It could be that just the cable broke and inspection is showing normal wear or it could be a bad throw-out bearing. Either way I would be inclined to repair simply because its an easy fix for a super reliable tow truck as you call it. Mine pulls a 15 foot tandem trailer with wood decking and cars on it with ease, just gotta wind it up a little to keep up with traffic, pulls like stink on the highway and it to is a M46+OD...
