Evapo-Rust User Report 120-130

Thanks for the review. I hadn't heard of this product, so I checked out their site. The MSDS and technical info is available there, but aside from telling what Evapo-rust will not damage (practically everything, including skin), I could find nothing to explain the composition of this product. It certainly sounds worthwhile.

Evapo-rust is made for immersing parts, but the company has another product to treat larger rusted areas, ie. sheetmetal. It is a system using absorbent pads which are soaked with Evapo-rust, then held against the metal's surface by magnets. I'm guessing that the parts go through the same treatment/flushing procedure you describe for immersed parts. More guesswork on my part says that body seams will be harder to flush after treatment. As harmless as it's described, I still wouldn't want the product trapped in a seam to leech out later and destroy a paint job.
