Passenger Side Engine Mount 200 1983

It is not real difficult, but as you noted access IS limited.

I used a 4"x4" beam across the hood opening, 1/2" eye bolt through the beam & hooked to the block via the lift lug by the thermostat. Raised the engine about an inch or so, watch to make sure you don't apply too much load!

One thing I did not do, BUT ABSOLUTELY WILL if I ever do this job again, REMOVE the oil filter. Can't hurt to do an oil change anyway. Since I did not remove the oil filter, it probably doubled the time, and trippled the frustration!

The driver's side is really straight forward compared to passenger side. I would recommend doing both while you're at it.

I can't remember anything else. Not too bad a job, just dirty & time consuming if you don't change the oil.

Mike
