I can't give you a definite answer as to whether there would be better response on your car as I don't know anything about it's setup, what the timing is now, what the compression ratio is, what the air/fuel ratio is at specific rpm, throttle opening and load, etc. All I can say is that testing shows that with vacuum advance you can run higher compression ratios, and more advanced timing ( under high vacuum conditions ) which normally will give you better throttle response and improved fuel mileage. You only have to increase the timing advance and see the engine speed up to get an indication of this.

I am willing to bet that no one who has done any type of actual, repeatable, scientific types of testing on this, such as dyno testing, fuel flow rates, etc, will say that having a vacuum advance setup makes little difference.
