The other day one of my 8-amp fuses (WHITE) blew, so I replaced it with one of those plastic/ceramic fuses with a silver metal strip running the length of it. Here's the weird thing, as I was sliding the fuse into the bracket, sparks came out when I ws snapping the other end to the brass contact. It startled me a bit, and I really don't know if that has happened before. Maybe it has, but for the most part replacing fuses has always been uneventful, as it should. I looked at the fuse and it was not damaged. I went to put so dielectric grease on the brass fuse brackets and attempted to snap the fuse back on. I normally snap the fuse at an angle where I would lock one end first and then push down the other end. It sparked again as I was snapping the other end down. Is this okay and not of any concern? Thanks.
