Thank you all for your advise. The job went well other than destroying the surface gasket during the first attempt.Had to make a run to the dealer for a new one ( 2 actually, just in case). Had a hard time seating the heater core line into the water pump during the install. Beat it up a bit but so far no leaks. Is there a way to pull that heater core hose out without removing the pump again? Seems to be pretty much fixed in its position. (just for future reference).
