8 qts wasn't really enough to do a complete flush anyway. In my experience, it takes anywhere from 12 to 16 qts depending on how dirty the old ATF is.

Don't take "close enough" when it comes to an expensive transmission, check that trans fluid level now.

Flushing it yourself really is very easy and not messy at all. Since you already have about 2.5 qts of M1 in there, I suggest getting another 10-12 qts and home flush it. You won't regret it.
