A/F guage in... 120-130

Wonder what the temps were when he determined that. I can see some benefit to the carbureted engine on very hot days running richer. I would have thought it wouldn't be so dramatic, however.

Just avoid lean under any power demand condition. Going perfectly stoichometric or slightly lean at "cruise" may give you better economy but will lead to higher cylinder temps.
