B230 timing marks

On a 1994 940 8 valve with a B230, the black plastic cover behind the cam sprocket is somewhat melted. This indicates the timing marks for the cam and intermediate shaft.

Is the intermediate shaft mark at a perfect 3 o'clock position or 2:30 or 3:30 position ? It's hard to tell. This would mean moving the intermediate shaft 1 tooth either way.

Also, the key-way on the crankshaft should be at the 12 o'clock position, right?

Then should the pulley for the crank keyway match with the keyway for the crankshaft? Or the hash-mark on the pulleys edge?

My book is not clear on these important questions....
