Please help to diagnose AC problem 1994 940T

Spook-

I am having a similar problem, but I haven't yet tried hitting the control panel. My specific observation is that the compressor kicks in when the outside temp is say below 80-85 degrees F. During the middle of the day, it will not kick in, but in the morning and evening it will. Would you suspect the heat during the day is causing a poor connection, or should I look elsewhere?

Thanks,

Fife
