No start after rain 200 1990

LOL well untill recently this was the least of my problems, I have the same problem with my 240dl 1983 but it takes about 3-5 minutes to start and i couldn't figure it out. My air mass meter just went out one time when i turned off my car. and ever since then it runs like crap and wont idle very well. Hope someone can help us
