Unless there's evidence of a conversion to R-134a(stickers, fill port, etc), the stuff from Autozone won't work; the original R-12 is fairly expensive, and only available, legally, to licensed A/C techs.
Unless you're A/C competent, see someone who is.
I've done the conversion on my '90 765; it's not all that hard, given the right equipment.
