Bubbling coolant 700 1990

This can be a sign of a blown head gasket. It just depends on where the gasket blows. If it's between a cooling passage and one of the cylinders then coolant can be lost through combustion. It may not be "visible" and I don't think you'll see this necessarily on the plugs. Cooling pressure test is best check. The hydocarbon test also sounds helpful.
