removal of wagon side window pane 120-130

Thanks George.

Based on your help, I tried something like this today and it worked. It took a while to keep prying (starting along the bottom edge) and put in mini shoe horns along the inside edge - but I moved things incrementally until it all let loose.

The old glue was still pretty effective in all areas except the bottom edge. The seal was wider (thicker) than I thought and the glue was more spread out than I thought - which made it difficult to remove the window. Your technique gave me the confidence that I could push on the window with pretty good force without breaking the thing.

Now that the window and seal is out, the old adage "installation is the reverse of the removal" may not hold. So if you have some guidance on getting the thing back in, I would appreciate it. i.e. put the seal in first, then the window, or try to put the whole thing again, sealer stuff, solvent, etc.

Thanks again.

waggin.
