240 stalls when given gas

I just pulled the AMM off to clean it and found that it had one end of the platinum wire pulled loose so I assume the AMM is the cause of the stalling.

I know someone local who is parting out a 85 240 so I am wondering if anyone knows if the AMM off of it would work on my 87 240.

Thanks for any information.
