Some info I have says that in 1992 a new type of bushing (PN 9131955-8) was developed to improve the front sway bar attachment . The new bushing has a 'moulded lug which locates in the bottom slot on the brace', and was retro fitted to VIN's 449952 - 482737 and 903627 - 947844 (which had a 21mm front sway bar).

It might be that other improvements were fitted 1992 on, but not retro fitted to earlier cars.
