De-turboed tinkering

Two years ago I purchased a 89 740 turbo wagonthrough a charity auction. The engine had been badly overheated, and had 225K on it. I changed it over to accept an 85 B230F keeping the intake manifold, and all engine management form intact. The air intake stsyem has never been to my liking , as I linked together sections from an 89 170 16valve and a couple of rubber sections off an 850, to be able to route incomming air through the origional turbo air cleaner and AMM wich are located on the passenger side of the car. Has anybody else performed a turbo-ectomy, and if so how did you work through the air intake logistics? I failed to mention that I have been driving this car for the last two years, and it runs great.
Poorgie
