Future for Bricksters? (no problem) 200

I plan on keeping my '88 forever. There were so many of these made that aftermarket suppliers will provide parts for longer than I'll need them.

Some will have issues that keep them from going long term. The biodegradable wiring was not just in the engine harness on the '79-87 cars, the rest of the wires will have issues someday. Rust will take many cars, but there is no reason a rust free 240 could not be kept running well into 2025 and beyond.

I do have some spares of some vital electronic parts, you can get good AMMs and ECUs for ~$29-$39 at the local pick and pulls so it makes good sense to grab a couple just in case.
