Hello Board
I have a question about towing a vehicle. I just found a great used 240 GL that I will be picking up on Monday, towing it from Phoenix to Tucson. It runs fine it's just that I have no one to go with me to drive it home so I am towing it. I checked with U-Haul and they recommend a tow dolly but they said that the driveshaft needs to be disconnected at the rear wheel.
Is this something that I can do myself and if so, what tools will I need to take with me? Anyone have a diagram or could someone draw me a picture? Just curious, why do they need to disconnect the driveshaft? I know very little about mechanical things on cars as you all know. Thanks in advance
