If it's in good shape, that price isn't too far out of line for a dealer, I'm sure there's some wiggle room on that price as well, shoot him low and see what happens.

As far as maintnence, if you're used to working on a bmw or a mercedes, anything on a volvo you should be able to do in your sleep, and parts prices will be a pleasant suprise as well.
