You've got it slightly wrong!...the state of tune of your SU's (in combination with ignition probably) is lacking in initial acceleration.
Lots of people have tried those Weber conversions (and it looks like your considering it too)...they even work well...but if you think the name, smaller throats, a flow which has to make an ubrupt right angle turn and seperate into four runners is going to be some sort of performance setup, your sadly mistaken...
Remember: You can't bolt on a tune-up!
