Flame Trap 200

ILLBIRD,

When I used the term "obligated", I meant it as a compliment to the sellers integrity. The timing belt change was overdue by 10K and given the fact that I had a long drive home after the sale, he agreed to have it changed. I didn't ask him to fix the valve cover gasket, or the cam plug, but I believe he felt "obligated", cause the engine compartment was splattered with oil as it was leaking from every orifice possible.

What bothered me most is that a year ago when the mechanic fixed the leaking main seal, and this year, when he did this other work, at no time did he inform the owner (seller) that the 10 cent flame trap was the cause of his problems. Lastly, last year, this year, or at any service is there an indication he ever changed out the trap, nipple or hose! Some mechanic.
