Temp guage question

89 760 w/115K.

My temp guage is stuck right in the middle - just where it should be when running right - heat wise. When I first start the car - it is right there - never moves.

The FAQ's mentioned about lubing the guage itself - but I was not sure that it was addressing my specific prob. Is that the answer - or another that someone might know of?
