Nice description Phil... I have to differ on one item though...

Wagons were offered with autos. At least in the later years. Definitely in '68. Probably in '67...

makes me wonder... is the rear end ratio in a 122 wagon with an automatic different than one in a '67 with a four speed. Hmm... How about axles? Any chance of a 27 spline Dana 30? '68 is sort of an oddball... I might have to do some poking around now, as I have a '68 wagon with original auto in my carport... and it was purchased as a parts car, but complete....
