Headlamp Dim-dip 700 1989

I've got a UK spec 1989 740SE with the dim-dip headlamp arrangement used briefly on UK cars. My problem is that I need to access the 'Regulator DIM-DIP' and my parts microfiches are a bit shy in revealing the actual location of the unit. The arrow points to a position near the centre of the dash and it seems to be screwed to a flat strip mounting bracket. Can anybody help? A wiring diagram which shows how the unit connects would also be useful!
