Do I access the harness "disconnects" for the sending unit by crawling on the ground under the 745 wagon -or- via the inspection cover I removed and which is located inches above the unit?

In other words, can I disconnect from inside the 745 wagon interior -or- can I only unplug the unit from underneath the vehicle.
