Need suggestions for conversion transplant.

I've been driving my 1997 960 for a couple of years thinking that if it ever needed major repairs I would just get the Converse kit and do the conversion. Well now the car is up to 173000 miles and it leaks/burns a lot of oil, although it looks and drives good.

I recently bought a 1987 740 wagon on eBay that already has the has the 5.0 and AOD installed. It runs pretty good but it's not nearly as nice a car as the 960, so I'm thinking about pulling all of the Ford and Converse stuff out of the 740 and putting them in the 960.

I have a pretty good idea of what needs to be done based on my Cobra project, as well as a lot of left over 5.0 parts. You can check it out at www.67Cobra.net

If anyone has a Converse manual they don't need I would like to buy it.

Any suggestions on how to proceed would be appreciated.

Mike
