Another tire question...

John,

I'm running 225/45R17 front and 225/40R17 on the rear with 7.5 and 9" wide wheels respectively. On the front, I have noticed more scrub when turning. (mostly low speed, parking lots) On the rear, I can't quite keep everything centered under all load types to keep from rubbing in corners. Having said all of that, I'd run 225 and 245 without hesitation or even 225 all the way around to allow for rotation and better wear.

If you do get 225s, you do need to make sure that your wheel is wide enough. I doubt putting 225s on a 6" wide wheel would be good.

take care,
simon
