960 A/C question

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to hook up the 97 960 A/C compressor wiring? I have the Ford compressor with new hoses connected and charged up. If I run +- 12 volts to the A/C clutch it comes on and the system blows cold air, so I think I'm close. I just can't get the Volvo A/C controls to turn on the compressor. It looks like the A/C button on the dash and the pressure sensors on the drier and condensor all run thru a computer which should control the compressor but doesn't. I guess it thinks the motor is not running. Is there some way I could replace the sensors with pressure switches and bypass the computer? Any help would be appreciated, it's too hot to be without A/C. The V8 is in and everthing else (except the tach) works great!
