Well, it's pretty obvious that:
A.) you've never actually seen the car
B.) you haven't bought/built/sold a V8 volvo
C.) you are a cynic of the nth degree

The market is there for this car to go for $5000+, just because you like Ebay doesn't mean everyone else does. If you think Ebay is the be-all, end-all of market value, then you are deluded.
