Stout V8

The rad for the 5.0L that used to be in mine was built using at 3-row copper core (16 fins/inch) in a diesel housing. It had a 2-row core in it originally, but in summer in the south with A/C on, it had trouble keeping up, so we went to a 3-row, 16 fin/inch core.

The new aluminum unit is 2 1" rows. You can't really compare the old copper/brass units to newer aluminum units as fin design and the size of the tube rows has changed over the years.
