Is it possible?

I'm with Peter, Michael, etc. If you aren't tied to doing the conversion yourself, you can get much better value for your money buying something that has already been converted. I have ~$20k in my car now, but I would be lucky to get $10k out of it. Personally, I think my car is MUCH nicer than any shop would even consider doing for $5k labor. It was my time, so I spent time figuring out some of the little things that make it much nicer. Now, if you had access to Laguna Seca or some other road track around, I'm sure you could find somebody to build you a car MUCH nicer than mine... but it might cost you $10-$20k in labor alone.

If you are willing to wait, you can find a very nice car for half of what you want to spend... then spend a little more to make it the way you want it. =)

just my thoughts.

PS, here is my car... Simon's V8 Volvo
