transmissions

The C6 is a VERY heavy dinosaur. But providing counsel on tranny type is difficult when we don't know what kind/year car, the engine that's going in front of the tranny or how you're gonna use the car. More info please.

If it's a small block Ford going in a 200 series for the street I'd suggest Ford's AOD that came with the 5.0L HO's - nice long overdrive for better cruising mileage and wear/tear. If it's a drag racer - many people run loose converters and C4's as you don't get into the OD gear in the AOD on the strip anyway. If it's an efi engine of course you need the proper computer to go with the tranny.
